Where are you going to present your offers?  There are lots of different choices that are at your disposal.  The older ways of spreading messages was kind of limited.   The newspaper and the yellowpages were a constant part of the business.

The web makes it easier to get right into the space of the requested audience.  There are lots of different web pages that contain content and each site is an opportunity.

The quality of webpages might vary.  Some websites are considered more premium than others.  This might be where content comes into play.  The advertiser or marketer is looking to find the best fit.

Embrace the tools that are available.  Social media is a low cost way to market products and services.  Prospects have lots of mobile devices and connect to the web in different ways.

Getting your message in front of the right crowd is the business.  There are lots of online sites where you can place your contact information and messages.

Some marketers might advertise on other sites or they can create their own niche sites and provide content.

Niche sites don't have to cost a lot of money and they can be a great way to test.  What are some of the costs of building a niche site?

A domain name, web hosting and content are the main costs for a niche website.  These don't have to be expensive.

Domains can be purchased for under 10 dollars.  Web hosting can be also be bought for under 10 dollars per month.  The content on the other hand is going to be the biggest cost.

Content can be created in different forms.  Written content, video content and audio content are all possible forms of media for a niche site.

The niche content does not just have to appear on the niche webpages.  This type of content can be expanded to a wider audience through the use of social media networks.  Niche content created for a targeted site could be added to social media platforms like youtube, or shared through facebook or twitter.

A niche site could also be the test ground for building up mailing lists.  A newsletter or mailing list builds up a group of interested web visitors.  The mailing list or newsletter is another source of testing marketing and offers.

The other side of the table

An interesting take on getting more traffic is to flip the affiliate script.  Most people hear about affiliate marketing and they want to get involved.  At the same time, affiliates are generating traffic for offers.  What about getting to the other side of the table?

Affiliates spend a lot of time creating content and driving traffic, but they don't really own the product and if they don't have a list, they don't get the customer.  What about using affiliates to drive traffic to your own offers.

Companies like affiliate programs because they only have to pay for real sales.  Not all of the traffic converts, but it is still a chance for a company to get their products and services in front of prospects.

Start thinking about this traffic game from another angle.  How can you start to gain more leverage when it comes to getting traffic and better marketing?
