Writing for Web Traffic

Writing is one way to get web traffic.  Are you a good writer?  The internet is wide open and there are not really a lot of rules that you have to follow when it comes to your online writing.


Writing articles and posting them online is a big step.  It is really easy to do.  Come up with headlines that stop people in their tracks and get them to want to read more.


What gets you to stop and want to read something?  Tabloid newspapers are really good at coming up with headlines that get your attention.  Don't they always give you just enough information for you to want to learn more.  They might give hints on the cover but you will need to keep coming inside to find out the real details.
It is almost like dropping breadcrumbs to lead someone down a path. You want the whole thing, but instead you keep getting little chunks that keep you moving forward for more.


Writing online can vary.  You can do what you want.  You can write like it is for a college course, or you can write for your audience.  They are the really important ones.  


There are a lot of different ways to use your writing skills.  You can post articles on a blog.  It is really simple to add your information and hit the publish button.  


You can write ebooks or pdf documents.  This is just opening up your favorite wordprocessor program like microsoft word or google docs and saving the document in pdf format.  Real simple and easy to do.  


Do you remember some of those creative writing classes that you took in school?  Do you write something everyday? It is funny how sometimes we forget that we know how to do stuff.  When is the last time that you brainstormed an issue?  I am talking about it but it has been a long time for me too.


It is time to let your creative juices flow when it comes to marketing your business.  Start jotting things down and making lists of the topics that you want to cover.  Even if you don't write the articles yourself, it can give you the direction that you want.  You may have decided that it is better for someone else to do your writing.  You are running a business and if you can get good quality writing done at a good price, then go for it.


Generate some web traffic with writing. Keep fresh content on your blog and post good information on article directories.  You never know where your traffic is going to come from.  Article directories still have some value.  Create your own ebooks and pdfs. Give them away or sell them to build your own email list.
